[Palm Warbler?]

Hi everyone,

 

I'm visiting Morro Bay from Colorado and decided to see if I could find the Palm Warbler reported in this rare bird alert on ebird:

Observed the wagging tail behavior as it foraged. Yellow under/upper tail coverts. Streaks on breast and sides. Pale supercillium. Olive brown back."

 

I played the Palm Warbler call on my phone just to know what it sounded like for my wife and I. The bird pictured below immediately appeared at my feet and then quickly flew into the tree. I managed a couple decent shots. When I tried to ID it with Merlin it came up with a couple other warblers. The pics in the ebird post also look different to me. I'm not convinced this is a Palm Warbler..what do you all think?

This was taken on Sept 17 at Crow Valley Campground near Briggsdale Colorado.

 

There are a few which look so much alike I can not tell them apart. I'm hoping you all can

Merlin app thinks Sharp-shinned. I like to know what you all think. This is from the south side of the Denver Metro along the S. Platte River

[Sparrow vs Sparrow]

This is from Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood Colorado. There have been reports of Fox Sparrow (don't believe I got that one) Swamp Sparrow and Song Sparrow. Not sure if these are both Song Sparrow's or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

 

Saw reports of Surf Scoter so went looking. Not sure what this duck is so thought I'd ask here. Not great photo, was pretty far away and light was bad. I thought the distinct facial markings would make it possible to identify. Any help would be appreciated.
