Recorded this bird but did not see it. Both recordings I believe are the same bird. Sounds like an Orange Crowned to me but that would be rare this time of year in Western Mass. Was in the woods near a swamp. Ignore the oven bird. 🙂 2019_06_01_16_25_401.mp3 2019_06_01_16_19_301.mp3

Red-Shouldered Hawk - Western Mass
tomahawkt77 replied to tomahawkt77's topic in Help Me Identify a North American Bird
Broad-Winged is more likely but like HamRHead said I can see the pale crescents near the wing tips which made me question my first guess as a Broad-winged. -
1st 2 pics I thought were a Warbling but someone thought it may be a Philly because of the yellow and the line thru the eye seems to go all the way to the bill. Both have been spotted in the same area. Philly less likely. P1340103 by STEFAN TOWNSEND, on Flickr P1340109 by STEFAN TOWNSEND, on Flickr Yellow-throated Vireo? Great to see this forum back!!!! 😍 Took these videos a few weeks ago. My birding friends gave me different birds. I got a Semipalmated / Least / Pectoral for what they may be. Merlin gave me similar results. P1220425 by STEFAN TOWNSEND, on Flickr P1220351 by STEFAN TOWNSEND, on Flickr P1220140 by STEFAN TOWNSEND, on Flickr
