  3. birdie 🐦 #38: πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯πŸŸ₯🟩 Another embarrassing one. I also thought I had already used the second word in its name. I need my coffee. β˜•

  7. I'm certainly not itching to go outside in this heat. πŸ˜… Don't expect any checklists from me for a bit, unless I go up the mountain or see something interesting in the yard.
  8. birdie 🦒 #36: πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨πŸŸ©β¬›β¬›β¬› @PalmWarblerI guessed the two "obvious" ones first, but yes, the habitat is important for getting this one quickly. I have not seen today's bird.
  9. BRDL 153 πŸͺΆπŸͺΆπŸ₯šπŸ₯š πŸ₯šπŸ¦πŸ₯šπŸ₯š πŸ₯šπŸ¦πŸ¦πŸ₯š πŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯š πŸͺΆπŸ₯šπŸͺΆπŸ₯š 🐦🐦🐦🐦 I have photographed today's bird.
  10. When I was in South Carolina, my crow counts were based on sounds. When they didn't vocalize, I just put down "crow sp."
  11. birdie πŸ¦‰ #35: πŸŸ₯πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨πŸŸ©β¬›β¬› This was one of my favorite birds when I was young. I have photographed it. I've learned that it's best to not waste a guess by putting nothing. Even if you haven't the foggiest, at least put in a bird with a color or with common, American, northern, winged, tailed, or headed in its name. I've been playing this game without a field guide and treating it as a way to test my knowledge. However, it's perfectly fine to play with a field guide, as then it's a test in your ability to use the tools at your disposal.
  12. BRDL 152 πŸͺΆπŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯š πŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯š 🐦πŸ₯šπŸͺΆπŸ¦ 🐦🐦🐦🐦 I have photographed today's bird.
  13. I'd have 25 (all minus Barn Swallow and the four that are invasive in the US). I really do need to bird outside the US someday.
  14. birdie πŸ¦… #34: πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨πŸŸ©β¬›β¬›β¬› I have recorded audio of but not photographed this bird.
  15. BRDL 151 πŸ₯šπŸͺΆπŸ₯šπŸ₯š πŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯šπŸ₯š πŸ₯šπŸͺΆπŸͺΆπŸ₯š πŸͺΆπŸͺΆπŸͺΆπŸͺΆ 🐦🐦🐦🐦 I'm sure most of you can probably figure out my fourth guess. I have photographed this bird.
  16. I'm in the same boat. 350 would be a solid goal for the year, but 400 would definitely require a trip to somewhere inland out east during the fall migration, and a good California coast trip as well. Also, @Kevin this thread should probably be moved to the General Birding Topics board. πŸ™‚
  17. I have seen 13 species with Common in their names. Not shown below are the Common Black Hawk (haven't edited my Arizona 2022 pictures yet) and Common Nighthawk (not photographed). Common Eider Common Gallinule Common Goldeneye Common Grackle Common Ground Dove Common Loon Common Merganser Common Myna Common Raven Common Tern Common Yellowthroat
  18. birdie πŸ¦ƒ #33: πŸŸ₯πŸŸ©β¬›β¬›β¬›β¬› I have not seen this bird.
