  5. Was planning to go out and try to get a long exposure shot of a local waterfall with my tripod and camera trigger. 8. We do not get White-crowned Sparrows too often out this east, but even less adults. So it was nice to see this beautiful adult perched right out in the open for me. White-crowned Sparrow by Patrick Felker, on Flickr
  9. Had a funny moment today. In a matter of ten minutes four different species of woodpecker landed on one perch. Almost as if they were taking turns. Now I want to make this perch a patch just to see what else I can get on it. 11. I saw this empid today (8/30/18) at Trustom Pond NWR in South Kingstown, RI. I am thinking either Alder/Willow or Least Flycatcher Empid ID by Patrick Felker, on Flickr Thanks
  12. Today I saw this Willet in Charlestown, RI. The past few days there have been a few western Willets mixed in with the regular eastern Willets. I am thinking that this is a western Willet, because of the pale underbody, but I would appreciate some confirmation. Thanks! Willet (Western?) by Patrick Felker, on Flickr
  13. Not the greatest picture, but a pretty good bird. Little Egret Little Egret by Patrick Felker, on Flickr
  14. Large plump bird with long down curved bill is a dead giveaway. Whimbrel confirmed. Nice picture too.
