Was planning to go out and try to get a long exposure shot of a local waterfall with my tripod and camera trigger. It just so happened to snow as I was trying to get the shots, which made for a cool landscape.

We do not get White-crowned Sparrows too often out this east, but even less adults. So it was nice to see this beautiful adult perched right out in the open for me.

Had a funny moment today. In a matter of ten minutes four different species of woodpecker landed on one perch. Almost as if they were taking turns. Now I want to make this perch a patch just to see what else I can get on it.

I saw this empid today (8/30/18) at Trustom Pond NWR in South Kingstown, RI. I am thinking either Alder/Willow or Least Flycatcher

Today I saw this Willet in Charlestown, RI. The past few days there have been a few western Willets mixed in with the regular eastern Willets. I am thinking that this is a western Willet, because of the pale underbody, but I would appreciate some confirmation. Thanks!

Large plump bird with long down curved bill is a dead giveaway. Whimbrel confirmed. Nice picture too.

hey pat! long time no see lel.
How's that "amazing" July birding going? lol. There's literally nothing of note being reported in RI. A few days ago I didn't receive my Rhode Island Rare Bird Alert from ebird, because NOTHING was seen at all.

Hey, what's up guys! I haven't been on here (or discord) for a while. How have you all been? Thanks @Sean C for the mention or else I may not have found that this group is back for a while lol.
