Spring is my favorite birding season here in Vermont and my favorite time all around. Early- to mid-May is when the weather is perfect, the trees haven't fully leafed out yet, and migration is in full swing. Bugs are not a big problem at my house.

It looks much too small compared to the twigs it's sitting in to be a Red-shouldered. Do you have other photos?
