  1. Black Phoebe (dark on top, white belly, large, peaked head).
  2. They move around even faster than warblers! And constantly flick their wings.
  3. 1, 4. Pine 2-3. Blackpoll (Note streaked back and greenish-yellow color) 5. Black-throated Green
  4. I suggest cropping the photos next time.
  5. Notice the yellow in the wings and the thin, pointy bills.
  6. Clay-colored Sparrows don't have dark lores (the lines between the eyes and the beak). This is a Chipping Sparrow.
  7. I think it is probably wise to doubt Merlin.
  8. Normal users can choose their own "Member Title" once they've reached 500 posts. But I assume there is no minimum for a moderator.
  9. Yeah, could be both Red-wingeds and grackles (and maybe another species) in the first photo.
  10. I think...Common Grackles and Double-crested Cormorants.
  11. I'm 100% sure this is a Swamp Sparrow. 🙂
  12. Yep, it's a Song. Long tail and rufous upperparts.
  13. I agree with drab Yellow Warbler. The bill's not quite big enough for a tanager.
  14. Warbling Vireo. (Plus an American Robin call) Notice how it ends on a high note.
  15. Tennessees never have those bold wingbars. This is a Blackpoll.
