I'd never seen a Longspur before, and it looked somewhat sparrow-ish to me, hence the title of the post, but I appreciate the additional detail. Very informative.

Thank you. The white spot on the wing seems to fit too. Was very overcast this morning and she was in dense forest and moving quickly. Had to crank up the ISO and this was the best shot I got.

Taken today just east of Toronto. Not sure what type of Thrush these are? Veery, Swainson's, Hermit?
