  1. Strikes me as a Swainson's since it's lacking any prominent white spots on the scapular which would point to Red-tailed.
  2. Young Hairy Woodpecker (red on the cap, not just the nape)
  3. Looks fine to me, just a recently fledged hummingbird. Anna's looks good, although I couldn't personally eliminate some of the similar ones.
  4. Good idea! I self found this second Idaho record of Ring-necked Duck x Lesser Scaup (here for 10 days and counting, and he has a female RNDU now!):
  5. I like Dusky for the first one as well. Hammond's just look generally stubby to me, with shorter bills and heads that look quite large and round. This bird looks relatively long tailed and lean to me. Pretty positive the chip chip is the end of a Bullock's Oriole song. You can hear an identical chatter before every call.
  6. The link isn't set to sharing so I have to request access.
  7. A. Willow B. And C. Western Wood-Pewee 2. I'm getting young bluebird vibes.
  8. Evening Grosbeaks! Male and female. It's an irruption year so there are lots of them around.
  9. Strikes me as a Dusky but the only real way to tell is sound or tail dipping. Grays dip tails down, Duskys dip up.
  10. I tried to ask discretely in the Whatbirds young birders thread but it wouldn't pop to the top. #1. Replies aren't being detected. #2. Notifications aren't working. #3. Apparently posting is being affected. EDIT: Can confirm, when you press post it gives you a "whatbird can't process this request" screen but it did post.

  12. Are notifications not working for anybody else?
  13. It's been a while since I've seen a quadruple post... @Aveschapines Agreed with Warbling vireo with the muted yellow tones, darker back and head, and white stripes over and under the eye.
  14. This is an odd suggestion, but what about Great Blue Heron? Large, gray, yellow beak, etc. However, the circling behavior doesn't really fit.
  15. Have you looked at Rose-breasted Grosbeak? Once again, they have lots of variations with plumage while molting. They can have orange and red with black streaks.
  16. Just as a general rule of thumb that I go by, I never add a new identification unless I have some additional information to provide. I figure if I can't provide more information, other people will and help out the OP with the ID. Maybe it's just me, but I see this forum as more of a place where people can learn identification, not just constantly receive IDs from supposed experts. An explanation is always more valuable than a blank "agree".
  17. To add to this... A lot of the time after two people post, the OP thanks the identifiers and is clearly satisfied with the ID. I don't think there's any need after the fact to add an additional agreed.
  18. VERY. I have 3 county firsts for my yard. I live in Twin Falls county, a very large county that is very underbirded, definitely no lack of habitat.
  19. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure Veery have softer streaks and more of a buffy wash down the front. Strikes me as a Swainson's as well.
  20. Yeah, I completely agree. I don't think threads should be locked either, I just think that as a general guide if there are already 3 agrees on something and you also agree, there's no need to put a 4th on there.
