  1. Looks like Redhead, most likely the grey is a loose wing feather, not actually on the head.
  2. I recently spent quite a number of hours waiting for the Calliope Hummingbird at Bentson State Park, in Mission Texas that had been recently seen. Then a call came the bird was spotted in a bush in the area. I shot some photo's of that bird, but am not convinced it was actually a Calliope, The bird was very small, about 1/2 the size of a Buff-bellied or Black-chinned Hummer. ID help please.
  3. Looks like Sharpie to me, smaller head and longer body then Coopers, Tail which is not present is the best tell.
  4. I photo on South Padre Island, TX November 15th, 2018. The photo's are not the best, but I am wondering if this is an immature or fall Magnolia.
  5. Thank you very much for the ID help, I struggle with the vireo's and the Philadelphia is a lifer for me. I would have never guessed Black-throated Blue, but had looked at female Bay Breasted and Chestnut-sided, because I was aware they also were pale yellowish, however no distinct eye ring pattern like the Black-throated Blue or that eye brow. We did see a lot of immature and female birds last spring, must have been to late for the males. Again, thanks for the ID's
  6. I have attached three photo's I shot at Magee March in northern Ohio last May during migration season. The third one I think maybe a Philadelphia Vireo (hooked bill). The next two look sum what like Vireo's except I cannot detect any hook in the bill. They maybe female warblers of some type? Immature and female birds drive me crazy. Any help you can provide me for an ID is greatly appreciated. They all were about the same size, the one looking larger just because I filled more of the frame.
