No. It's at a perfect height. I have three sets of feeders. Ground level, 3ft and 6ft. Habitat is more important. They prefer tree's or bushes nearby so you should be set with your tree.
This weekend I got a few lifers in AZ while visiting my best friend. Rosy-faced Lovebird, Bell's Sparrow, Ruddy-ground Dove, Rufous-backed Robin and Ferruginous Pygmy Owl! I got some shots I'll post later.
Kinda gives me vibes of an immature male/female Lark Bunting with the huge white wing stripe, thick bill and head pattern plus the sage habitat but it's not a perfect fit still. I know you can't remember the location but can we eliminate a few options - can you confirm this was taken in the US?(have you birded outside of the states before?).
