No. It's at a perfect height. I have three sets of feeders. Ground level, 3ft and 6ft. Habitat is more important. They prefer tree's or bushes nearby so you should be set with your tree.

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all see some cool birds!

I was fortunate enough to bird west a couple times this year. I'm at 492 with a few possible birds left like GLGU or SNOW -
I'm curious what other hobbies folks here have...

Birding isn't my hobby, it's my lifestyle. Besides that I run, kayak, play card games and eat interesting food! -

I've never completed a Rubik's cube before. I have the intelligence of a lamp shade and much less of a attention span. -
This weekend I got a few lifers in AZ while visiting my best friend. Rosy-faced Lovebird, Bell's Sparrow, Ruddy-ground Dove, Rufous-backed Robin and Ferruginous Pygmy Owl! I got some shots I'll post later.
-
Dude your shot is amazing! Congrats!

Bro same. I always say "pics tba" on all my checklist and then never do. Sometimes I'll get a reviewer months later ask for the pics to be uploaded. -

I need help with this sparrow

Kinda gives me vibes of an immature male/female Lark Bunting with the huge white wing stripe, thick bill and head pattern plus the sage habitat but it's not a perfect fit still. I know you can't remember the location but can we eliminate a few options - can you confirm this was taken in the US?(have you birded outside of the states before?). -
I'm really liking this new feature! Here's my main trips from this year! @Trevor L.and @Melierax were with me for part of the first and second one. https://ebird.org/tripreport/6000 https://ebird.org/tripreport/5882 https://ebird.org/tripreport/5889

Looks like a Pine Siskin -
Really cool! Good luck, keep an eye out for one with a tiny bill ?
-
Oh, I meant unexpected lifers are fun, but yes Saw-whets are also always fun!
-
Sounds great for NSWO! Congrats on the lifer! It's fun when you aren't expecting one!

You got it! -
It's domestic Mallard. The odd look is a popular color called "Pastel" its used by breeders in call ducks, mallards and runners.

Yeah, picking out a single gull can be hard. a few years ago at Lake Manawa someone spotted a SBGU in a flock of 25,000 RBGU. I was there at the same time and never saw it. Just too many birds to sort through.
-
Congrats man! So many individual ducks on your list. ? that's a bummer, sorry you dipped. ?
-
Congrats!

Your welcome!!! I'm by no means an expert, I visited Belize in 2018 so I studied up on the Yucatan peninsula birds a bit. ?
