  1. My friend hunts Canada geese. I apologize if that part of the picture offends anyone. It's cold and very white here in NE Ohio. Stay safe.
  2. My grand daughter took this picture at her feeder in a Columbus suburb and asked for help in identifying. Looks rather like a red wing blackbird to me but she described it as having "red and yellow/white-ish stripe on its wings." I would have thought if it was a red wing bar the red would be much more evident. Don't see any other obvious candidates. My reputation with my granddaughter is at stake here, so please help.

From your your suggestion that this might be a young western species, I found images of Rufous Hummingbird that looks quite like the one I photographed although it also seems to sometimes have a variety of quite striking markings.   4. Is this a young Humming bird that has forgotten to move on from Kent OH? Cold weather has already arrived
