  1. Sorry for photo quality, the light was trash yesterday, had to bird in between downpours. Taken yesterday, saltmarshes of Jekyll Island, Georgia. And then this one was on the beach side, hanging out with a flock of Semipalmated Plovers
  2. This is actually a gull. I'm terrible with gulls, but I think the pale wingtips means something along the lines of Glaucous or Iceland.
  3. Yes, a Yellowlegs, and I like Lesser for this one.
  4. I believe this one is a Vermilion Flycatcher, as well.
  5. I actually had one this past Wednesday up at Mistletoe State Park, but didn't get a picture, so just didn't report it.
  6. I meant don't solely rely on my opinion. Lol.
  7. Do not go off me, but that bill looks chunky enough for a Caspian, to me.
  8. Welcome to Whatbird! It might be too big to upload directly here, but you could throw it on youtube or the like and link it here.
  9. My gut says it's a Summer, but I'm not sure I'd bet money on that based on this photo.
  10. If you remember the wing color, that would help. Scarlet tangers have black wings.
  11. Female American Redstart is what I thought of with the yellow on the wings, but that doesn't fit exactly right, either.
  12. That looks like a female Red-breasted Grosbeak!
  13. Also, anyone signed up for rare alerts in your state and/or county was sent your report, so it wasn't just sent off into the oblivion of your reviewer's inbox. 🙂
  14. Ebird does have the Rare alerts thing. When I view the one for my state, it shows all rare reports from the past week, both confirmed and unconfirmed. You could look at the one for Arkansas and then look at the ones for the surrounding states.
  15. Yeah, the bill looks Rusty-ish to me, but I am not 100% confident. It's a gut instinct thing.
  16. I could see the first being a Solitary, there is a nice bright eyering. The second, I'm getting female Yellow-rumped vibes.
  17. Pictures, even terrible ones, often are much easier than text descriptions! Can't wait to figure out this mystery bird!
  18. Yep, Pine Siskin. Just a nice and bright one!
