  1. 6 Jul 2019 Calgary Stampede grounds, Alberta, Canada. The second shot doesn't look like the same bird, but I think it is, as these were taken in succession.
  2. 05 Jul 2019 Calgary Stampede grounds, Alberta, Canada
  3. Where: Calgary, Alberta, Canada When: August 16 at 9:13 am MST What: Two yellow warblers drinking at our bird bath I suspect that these are immature Wilson's Warblers since we've had that species in our yard before. I apologize for the high-noise in the pictures, but I was shooting from inside the house and didn't have my telephoto lens. This is the second day they've come for a visit. They only use the bird bath to take a quick drink, and then vanish high into the trees.
  4. 1. Spotted Sandpiper. Town of Banff, Cave & Basin Marsh Trail. 2. ?Thrasher ?Thrush I need help with this one. Shape, stance, and streaks rather than spots made me think Brown Thrasher, but it has that eyebrow, and maybe the tail is too long for a Thrasher? Town of Banff Cave & Basin Marsh Walk Trail 3. Gray Crowned Rosy Finch--it was literally diving into the snow. Minnestema Lakes, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada (elevation ~7500')
  5. July 2019 All photos taken in a large cemetery 1. ?House Finch 2. Based on location, I suppose this is a Black-Capped Chickadee. A fledgling? Or just damp feathers? Living in the southeast, I've only seen Carolinas up to this point. 3. Red-shafted Northern Flickers. I've only seen the yellows before. 4. Female house finch? 5. ?Junvenile American Robin
  6. 1. ?House Wren. Elbow River Camp, Calgary Stampede grounds 2. ?Tree Swallow Elbow River Camp, Calgary Stampede grounds 3. ?Franklin's Gull. Stampede Grounds, Calgary
  7. This bird was seen June 9th in the summertime. Location is Nanaimo of Vancouver Island (British Columbia). This is another seen by my friend, we think it may be a species of murrelet or murre but we were never quite sure which. The bird was seen out at sea from off the shore. Thanks in advance for the help as always!!
  8. Taken December 21 in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island of British Columbia. The habitat was a beachfront park known as Neck Point. A friend sent these gulls to me unsure of what they were, she said in the field they looked darkly grey-hooded. She also said the individual in the first two closer-up photos could be the same one as in the further-away photos but wasn't totally sure. Thank you in advance for any help!!
  9. Good morning, i was going through some old pictures and I found this picture that both iBird and Merlin photo ID identified it as a Greater White-fronted goose with 70% certainty but it looks to new more like a Cackling goose or Canada goose hybrid. Thanks.
