  1. This Hawk was recorded during mid-golden hour. I thought the Red Tail's silhouette as it flew away was interesting and beautiful as captured with the slow shutter speed (1/30s). Taken with Nikon Coolpix P950 at ~1000 mm focal length. Taken on 28 Jan after sunset.
  2. After missing a passing insect, it ruffles its feathers then regurgitates some food (left over Chock Cherry pit and insect). Taken with Nikon Coolpix P950 at a distance of 150 feet on a hot August afternoon near Cheyenne, Wyoming.
  3. Using my Nikon Coolpix P950 at 1000mm and 2000mm focal lengths, I captured a young Meadow Lark preening and singing. I slowed down the bird's song by 50% in the last part of this clip.
  4. These European Collared Doves have become a fixture around my house this year as my trees are starting to provide shelter and a good nesting location for these shy birds. Focal Length (35mm format) - 1600 mm For more videos, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OUZEfCjIiI
  5. Using my Nikon Coolpix P950 at 1000mm and 2000mm focal lengths, I captured a young Meadow Lark preening and singing. I slowed down the bird's song by 50% in the last part of this clip. Western Meadow Lark's Song.mp4 Western Meadow Lark's Song.mp4
  6. This bird has been a regular during the past month. It seems to know when I am photographing it. I produced a short video clip of it, worth a peek: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfvxkepe20c&list=PLFOag6HjHS4cuI3TU_ZQZrX4xXlZvtM9e&index=2
  7. Can anyone confirm my suspicions that this is a Swainson's Hawk? Taken today (4/22) 6 miles northeast of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
  8. Sorry for the small image but I'm hoping that the profile of this large bird on my roof can be identified. I'm located 6 miles northeast of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Taken ~3:50PM today (4/22). Possible craine? Thanks, Jan
  9. This Western Prairie songbird is really a beauty. It knew I was photographing it. Taken about 100 feet away. Focal Length (35mm format) - 800 mm with Nikon Coolpix P950.
  10. While filming clouds this morning, this bird flew by the instant I snapped the shutter. It was about 20 feet away. Thanks, Jan
  11. Birds around my house know I'm into weather. This bird was taken through a closed and dirty window. The horizontal lines is fence meshing. Nikon P950, Focal Length (35mm format) - 1800 mm --> hand held!
