    Hey everyone, I saw this red and gray bird perched on a spruce in central New Jersey at around mid-day. I took this photo in a suburban neighborhood, and this bird was the only member of its species I noticed in the vicinity. It later flew off in the Northeasterly direction as far as I could see. Anyone know what species it might be?

    Can anyone identify this bird? It's similar to a sand-hill crane with a black cap rather that a red cap. It was at Ed Levin County Park in the Spring Valley Pond.
