  1. We have quite a few Slate colored Juncos passing through each year, but this year there are a couple that I don't recognize. I took most of the photos through a window because they are so skitterish, they scatter at the slightest movement. I adjusted the exposure on the photos that are not in focus to show the colors better. I think one of them might be an Oregon Junco, but the photos that are not in focus have me stumped. The photos were taken today, March 26 about 30-35 west of Minneapolis.

  3. There are many Dark-eyed Juncos at Jones Beach NY now. This is a typical example, dark gray and white, shot today. Junco However, I also saw this one which is browner. Is it a female or one of the regional variations? female Junco?
