  1. I love going birding, but I sometimes want to do more with the pictures that I take, so I'm looking for inspiration. Have you ever done anything creative/fun/impressive with your pictures? Have you used pictures as reference in an art project, gotten a picture shown in a magazine or art gallery, written a book or newletter about birds, used pictures to help document or research bird species, printed photos to put on your walls, etc.? This is your place to talk about your endeavors (and maybe brag a little!). Personally, I've been making calendars for friends and family for the past four years, and I'm looking forward to putting the new one together soon.
  2. I posted a checklist on ebird in Feb 2019 that included 3 Purple Finch. It was accepted when posted. Today, I added photos for those birds--and now the observation has been flagged as "Unconfirmed". Is that an automatic flag generated due to a need to review photographs for accuracy? Photo attached.
  3. This photo was a bit of a challenge. The bird was in darkened shadows, with just a hint of light in the background. I decided to use backlighting and hope for the best.
