  1. Hope someone can help ID this bird I saw on a wire next to a Mountain Bluebird
  2. Hi from Davenport WA again. This bird reminds me of a Townsend's Solitaire but I'm not confident with my assessment. It has a white eyering, and yellow patch on throat which I'm not seeing on other pictures of a Townsend's Solitaire. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  3. In Davenport WA in area surrounded by wheat fields. Fairly quick moving, bobbing up and down when perched.
  4. Saw a flock of these birds flying to the tops of tall pine trees at Davenport Cemetery in Lincoln county WA. They appear to be eating the seeds off the pine cones. I'm also wondering if the bird in the last photo is a Merlin? (same location)
  5. I saw these sparrows in different locations in Lincoln County, WA . The first pic was at Reardan Audubon Lake, the second pic was at Mondovi. I thought possibly a Savannah and a Vesper Sparrow??
  6. Two birds in the same area in a canyon in Davenport WA
  7. I birded Ojo Caliente, New Mexico on Tuesday and wanted some confirmations on the below birds. I'm from the southeast US and saw lots of new birds today.....many thanks. David
  8. Spotted these flycatchers in a dry canyon in Davenport WA. Hope someone can help me identify them.
  9. My friends and I camped on Bull of the Woods Mountain trail (elevation 11,400') outside of Taos, New Mexico and climbed Wheeler Peak (elevation 13,161') the following day. Canada Jay's were everywhere but I also heard chicadees, a nuthatch, and heard/saw a non-distinctive gray bird with a light wing bar and white on the outside of the tails. The gray bird was everywhere above treeline around the peak and had a one note chip and a three note chip reminisceint of a "per-chicoree" of the American Goldfinch. At this elevation, can the chicadee, nuthatch, or gray bird be positively identified? Thanks. David
  10. I saw this bird in Vancouver, BC an hour ago but I don't know what it is.
  11. I live in Lakewood, NJ; can someone please identify this bird for me?
  12. Hi all, this is my first post. I'm struggling to identify two birds I saw while on a walk this evening in Tarpon Springs, FL (about 40 minutes North of Tampa). I saw them right at dusk, and they were feeding in the sand near a large flock of laughing gulls and black skimmers. There were an assortment of wading birds all together. I have a couple ideas but want to hear what you all think! Sorry the pictures aren't great and I didn't get many - it was getting late and light wasn't good. Thanks!
