Devin Carrinton
Today in Western New York I thought this was a Purple Finch at first glance, as it was similar to the Purple finch that I saw last week, however on further looks I began to think Female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. I'm pretty sure that it is a female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak but I need a second opinion to be sure.
meghann
Yes, the much wider beak means Grosbeak, rather than Finch. ? Welcome to Whatbird!
