Female Black Throated Blue? And Eastern Wood-Pewee?

Recommended Posts

Forgive the terrible pictures - these are the best of the bunch!

I think this is a female Black-Throated Blue - it was hanging out in a tree that was also occupied by a male Canada Warbler. And this flycatcher was hanging out on a gate. Thanks for your help you guys! Hope everyone is safe and healthy!

Both in Riverside Park, New York, NY this afternoon.

The first two photos are indeed a female Black-throated Blue Warbler. Note the subtle face pattern and white-based primaries.

However, the third photo is not an Eastern Wood-Pewee. The primary projection is too short. Maybe a Traill's?
