Hal.314
Based on my previous post, here, I thought I had a picture of a Lincoln's Sparrow -- which now I realize is not correct. Any ideas what this might be? Photo was taken while it was raining on May 21, 2020, on the same day as Yellow Warblers and Tennessee Warblers. Is this possibly a juvenile Tennessee Warbler? or is it too early in the year to be seeing juveniles? Hal.314
Here are some photos from the same day. My identification is Yellow Warbler, Tennessee Warbler... and the last is perhaps the same kind of bird as the photo in my OP? I thought maybe a Yellow-Rumped Warbler (Magnolia female)? I'm not good with the flycatchers but I can confirm 2. and 3.!
Jefferson Shank
but what about the black on the breast on #1? That is because the feathers are wet and ruffled. Edited June 3, 2020 by Jefferson Shank
Hal.314
Thanks so much! this is exciting to have 2 pictures of a bird I didn't even know was in my area. Always learning something new. I will have to go through my photos and sound files from last year and find my unknown visitors -- you all have been so helpful here!
