LVS
Caught this bird on a trail cam in a nice old woods on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, not far from Greensboro/Denton area, near some nice Carolina bays. The photo is all I have to identify him with, I'm afraid. Thanks! Edited June 10, 2020 by LVS Needed to add photo, and finish joining!
Connor Cochrane
Seems to have long legs, making look like a hawk, but the face looks like a a Barred Owl
LVS
I'm guessing a barred owl, however it's not the greatest picture so just wanted to double check what other people thought.
Phalarope713
Looks better for a hawk to me, probably Broad-winged/Red-shouldered.
Connor Cochrane
That’s what I was thinking. Owls legs don’t appear that long. 2 minutes ago, Phalarope713 said: Looks better for a hawk to me, probably Broad-winged/Red-shouldered.

birdbrain22
Yes certainly a Hawk.... my guess would be Red-shouldered as well.

Appears to be raining and the bird looks soaking wet, no-one is at their best under these circumstances?. Having said that it does look a little scary.
