This little fellow flew into my window so I was able to photograph him. He flew away after awhile. Does anyone know what species he is please?

location: 22km southeast of Cardston, Alberta

It's an immature waxwing. The yellow tail tips and facial mask spell that much out (also the streaked breast and incomplete crest indicate immature). Thing is, istribution maps indicate that Alberta could have both Bohemian and Cedar. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you specify further.

Second Cedar Waxwing. Even at this age, a Bohemian would have chestnut undertail coverts and a fair bit of white in the wing coverts.
