Yellow headed blackbird juvenile?

Recommended Posts

Was seen in Wisconsin this past week. Has more splotchy plumage than many others seen. Just wanted confirmation. Thanks!

A Yellow-headed Blackbird is correct. This doesn't look like a juvenile, but rather a female/immature male.

Female. First-year males usually have blacker wings and should sport the sex's tell-tale handkerchief.
