Correct. The Common Moorhen Gallinula chloropus is the Old World species and was split from Common Gallinule Gallinula galeata as the New World species - https://www.10000birds.com/moorhen-mania-the-splitting-and-renaming-of-the-common-moorhen.htm

Did you mean 650?

No, he's right, 659, because I miss-numbered multiple birds that I posted recently above...😅

No, 659 is next...scroll back up to 654 Colimer Warbler from there down the numbers are wrong.

 So #659 is  next. 🙂

Is there any way the needs list can be updated? I'm sure I could add species to this list, but it takes too much time to look through every single species to look for one I can add.

Here's the up to date needs spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1T8JSWZxXcrFdgC9pQuGIrWDlKwX1qkWEop36NwHEUWs/edit#gid=0

We're trying to keep it to just photos right now. I can post a horrible digi for Black Rail, but I've been holding out to wait untill I get a better photo.

Yeah I have a terrible photo of a Shiny Cowbird I could add, but it's really really terrible.

According to the needs list, I have a few more to contribute. I also have a horrible photo of an Aplomado Falcon and Atlantic Puffin, but I'm sure others have better pics.

We'll get there Trevor, eventually (and hopefully!)...and besides, you're already off to a great start in my view @497!

I have the out-of-country boost. Went to Costa Rica in 2019. My ABA list is only 396. I've seen some pretty cool ones, but none as cool as murrelets or albatrosses or Spotted Rails of any of those.
