Benjamin Posted July 26, 2020 Share Posted July 26, 2020 It's certainly not a Lewis's Woodpecker, which, as Aaron pointed out, has reddish black only on the face, with a clearly gray neck, unlike your bird. Although it is quite dark in the belly, it's an adult Red-breasted Sapsucker. A juvenile would not have that much red in the hood. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
