Colton V
Heard these at Crane Prairie Reservoir near La Pine, Oregon. Second one is hard to hear, it is a distant single chirp that occurs three times. Connor Cochrane
I've never heard that first call before, sounds like an icterid of some sort, maybe Bullock's Oriole?, or it could be a weird Blackbird. Theres Red Crossbill in the background of the recording Edited July 28, 2020 by Connor Cochrane
Colton V
I went through all of the blackbirds that could live in the area, none of them seem to sound right.
The Bird Nuts
The first bird (Deschutes National Forest 6) reminds me of a Myiarchus flycatcher.

That’s a good idea. I’ve never heard an ash-throated that’s sounded exactly like that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is one.
Colton V
I don't think it's a flycatcher. None of the calls on the Merlin Bird ID app sound like mine. However, if you can find a call that sounds similar to mine that would be great.

Avery
My first impression of the first recording was a mimick, like a Catbird

It's good to know RECRs can sound like that! We hardly ever get them here, but I saw one flying over my house just a few days ago.

I guess it makes since, there are some in the background doing their classic kip kip calls the whole time.

Most of the birds on there I know nothing about. But I use it every once in a while when no one here has an answer to my question.
