smittyone@cox.net
This bird was seen near a noticeably larger Great Egret, yesterday in NW Missouri. Although I never saw the feet, I think this may be a Snowy Egret. It'd be a Lifer bird for me if it was a Snowy.

Kevin
Sure is! Note the black bill and yellow lores.
Connor Cochrane
You forget that a bird that’s a dime a dozen here in California, and other places I’ve visited like Florida are unusual in other places in the US. Definitely a Snowy.

Definitely a Snowy. That's how I feel about House Finches. They're the most common bird at my feeders, acting like a pack of kids turned loose in Chuck E. Cheese's, and then people from other regions post comments marveling at them. 1

For me its Great Grackles and Laughing Gulls. I never saw them before I moved to Texas. A little lesson to not take the common species in you area for granted
bo nelson
When I'm at work in Tucson you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Vermillion Flycatcher. I take them for granted now but I remember how astonished I was when I saw the first one. 4
