That's an Atlantic Tarpon as well.

I showed the picture to my son yesterday and he said the same thing. I thought he was wrong because 1) it was tiny 2) in fresh water 3) Pond too small for it grow much. Color me shocked! They must be a very versatile fish.

@SeanbirdsI some how managed to neglect counting on my Herps life list both Red-eared Slider and Western Painted Turtle. The photo below I believe contains both. If yo would be so kind to confirm I will add them. The photo was taken in Jefferson County, Colorado in September 2013.

You are correct, although I probably won’t take the time to ID each individual :classic_tongue:

Nope, Red-spotteds are tiny as adults and the build is quite different. Woodhouse’s.

Thank you! I thought that is what you were going say. I think I tried to id this on my own years ago and had it labeled as Red-spotted. I'm glad I checked with you. Thank you! What is a Red-spotted's territory?

No problem!

Does Colorado even have Red-spotted Toads? What is their territory? I seem to have a few that have red spots and even some that look pretty small in photos but I'm sure not Colorado even has them.

Only in the southeast and southwest corners of the state, really. They like desert.

Looking for confirmation. Saw a whole bunch of cool stuff other than birds on my Alabama coast trip. Here are some I'm not sure of the ID's on:

Bottlenose Dolphin - a few VERY close to shore, surprised the didn't get stuck when the waves went out! Wasn't able to get photos of the head or tail. This is the best look I could get
