Connor Cochrane
I believe this is a Common Spotted Whiptail. At Sa. Ygnacio Texas, I'm sure @Seanbirds can confirm. Looked different than many of the other whiptails I've seen. Edited April 20, 2022 by Connor Cochrane
stitch58
Today while birding my local hotspot. There's been quite of bit of rain here recently & everything was pretty wet. I was walking a trail & came upon a large mud puddle. I walked around the edge of it & the ground was a bit uneven so I leaned onto a branch so I wouldn't lose my balance. Unfortunately the branch snapped & I went face first into 6 inches of mud & water. So the other thing I saw while birding was an up close & personal look at a mud puddle ?. Like a good birder I did save the bins & camera though. 3 5

I look like that after some days at work - good to keep a sense of humor about such things ?.

Birding Boy
I think I found a herp lifer, a Shorthead Garter snake the other day in Rochester, NY. @Seanbirds any thoughts? Its about 100 miles east and 20 miles north of the nearest cluster of sightings on iNaturalist. Probably better sources out there to track their distribution though. Crappy pics, I was a tad low on time...
smskelton
There may be a genetic link between Sea Lions that like to lay on their backs into the sun and my Golden Retriever who likes to do the same thing.

Charlie Spencer
Charleston Harbor, SC. April 20th, 2022. Does this Laughing Gull have a squid? This was low tide, in water so low the gulls were standing in it before this one took off with its prize (with others in hot pursuit).

Avery
Forgot to include all these posts are from central Tennessee near Nashville. @Seanbirds any idea on this frog? Would've called it a Bullfrog but it was brown.

Tanager 101
Saw an otter with @Birding Boyat Bay City state Park. Apparently it was sitting nicely on a log. All I saw was the ripples in the water and then a head in the middle of the lake.

Zoroark
It's not a common thing to see bats in the late morning (11 AM). I believe this is a western pipistrelle, at Corn Creek this morning. Edited May 6, 2022 by Zoroark Yes, the picture is noisy. I just did a quick export without processing it.
