Can you tell I live in Canada?

This was in February take with my phone. Usually we get a couple of young moose that wander in to overwinter in a ravine by my house. Haven’t seen them yet this season, but usually they’re here around Christmas.
A few years ago I walked right past one at night that was standing maybe 30 feet away as I walked home. Didn’t even notice it until I turned around and saw it silhouetted by the city lights!

Recently I started to feed the squirrels so that they wouldn't compete for food with the birds. I found a funny squirrel feeder, It is a Horse Head feeder of Accoutrements. Watching them go nuts over the feeder was pretty funny. We laughed so hard, and it became an instant hit for the kids. The head is hollow inside, and you can put a variety of nuts and seeds to attract them.

This reminds me of Mark Rober's Squirrel Obstacle Course.

Coyotes never attack. If they start to run at you, Remember your a human, and pick up a rock and throw it at them. That’ll scare them away.

Yeah, I'd throw things, yell at the top of my lungs, and run at it if one threatened me. He'd get the idea pretty quick.

No pic, but I just watched a Eastern Red Squirrel (I think) work it’s way down a branch on our maple tree, licking it. Oddest squirrel behavior I’ve ever seen. There wasn’t even any sap! He was just licking the tree! All I could think of was the yoshi sound effect...
