RobinHood
Yesterday - two things I hadn't seen before. A Mink was raiding Red-winged nests, saw me coming and flew up an adjacent tree. A Painted Turtle hitching a ride on a Snapper (shooting through reeds).

And the hitch hiker is just cool. 2

I see Mink regularly (photos of territorial fighting, mating, plus taking off with a large Mute Swan cygnet despite a fierce defence by the parent) but I had never seen one up a tree. Something different every day.

SirVive
Watched a couple of Red-wings mob and chase a couple of Great Egrets up into a tree and at one point actually catch a ride on its back in flight while yanking at a beak full of feathers.

Avery
Saw 6 moose while driving the other night. Only had a chance for a photo when a calf was in the road.

Cool experience, but I would not want to be in that situation, especially with a calf and it's mama around!
Avery
Couple tree frogs found by my parents around the house the past couple days! The one on the retired bird feeder has been there for three days, the other was found on the ground and subsequently moved into the tree above it to avoid children stepping on it.

Connor Cochrane
An endangered California Red-legged Frog which I almost stepped on while birding today. First time I've been able to confirm one, but I've likely seen them before. With this I only have 2 more amphibians to see in the county.
