Wisconsin Wrens

Recommended Posts

I saw these wrens while visiting a farm in SE Wisconsin last week.  I’m guessing the first 2, seen on the edge of a wooded area, might both be House.  Hoping the last 2 (same bird), seen on the edge of a field, might be something else.

I was hoping it was a Sedge Wren, but wanted confirmation since that’s a new one for me.  Thanks!

Like most Wrens, Sedge Wren is pretty easy to pick out if you know their song. To me, Sedge Wren sounds like a cross between a Wren and a Dickcissel .
