Lexington County, central SC, August 8th.

A farm pond near my house was lowered about 4.5 feet last week, exposing as much as 75 feet of lake bed.  This has attracted a wider-than-usual range of waders and many shorebirds rarely seen in the immediate area.   There were a few of these.  I've been able to identify Least Sandpipers in other photos and I think that's what I have here.  They were over 150 yards at this point, too far for my binos, and I had to max the digital zoom to get these.

Thanks!

Killdeer included for size comparison purposes.  It was at the same range but too far to the right to include with the above crops.
