Looks like a kingbird. I’m not familiar with western flycatchers, maybe Western Kingbird?

I think my brain is tricking me into seeing the white stripes on the outside tail feathers. Is that visible in this photo or is it a trick of the light?

There is no white on the edge of the right side of the tail, which is the off-light side, which should eliminate the photo effect. Additionally, the under-tail coverts are a bit dusky and there's no obvious gray on the chest separating the belly color from the throat color. This is a Say's Phoebe.
