Shorebird in New Jersey shore

Recommended Posts

I got this guy at Barnegat Light, NJ today. It was flying across the jetty there and landed out of sight. It looked too big and chunky for one of the usual sandpipers, and I was thinking this might be a Black-bellied Plover, or an American Golden-Plover. Could someone check me?
