OK, so I've been trying to get into more of the Whatbird site. So far all I can access is the BIRDING page, which has three topic lines... ID North American Bird, ID Bird outside NA, and Photo Sharing and Discussion. I can get onto all the threads under these topics. But if I click on anything else on these pages, such as Unread Content or Home, I get a Site not Available notice. I've tried googling Whatbird, and anything that comes up, such as Whatbird.com or Forums, I get the same Site not Available notice when I click on them.

Another link that comes up, which I DID NOT click on, reads:

whatbird.com is almost here! Upload your website to get started.

Is this legit??? Do I have to upload a website to get back on Whatbird!!! @aveschapinas ?? @Kevin ??

I don't think it is, "Upload your website to get started." does not sound right, in fact, that sounds like them infecting your website as well.

Also I believe @Administrator would have let us know.

I got this also. DreamHost seems to be a reliable host though.

Hi everyone! I've been away counting lots of Christmas birds so getting caught up (thank you @Kevin for holding down the fort). Whatbird.com has in fact been down for quite some time. The forums have been moved to a new host and the main site is going to be moved too. There was an "under construction" notice but it's been replaced with one that I think is for the techs who are working on the site.

I defininitely do NOT recommend downloading anything associated with the main site right now. I also would not use any alternative URLs you may find to access the site. It was infected with malware that led you to harmful sites so you may be risking your computer if you do that.

Hopefully it will be done soon and I'll keep you updated as I get news.

Anyone know why I have to log in to my account here every time I come to the page even though I have the “remember me” option clicked? I have not had this problem until about a few weeks ago.

Check to be sure your browsing history isn't being automatically cleared. Sometimes when browsers reset they change the settings on you with no warning.

I’m actually only having the issue on my iphone and iPad.

I'd still give the same advice for those devices. Also, I said "reset" in my previous post; I meant "update". If you use the same browser on your iPhone and iPad it suggests that it may have updated and changed your settings.

How do you do that?🫢

I think Apple products use their 'Safari' browser.  I don't have experience with their hardware or software.  Try Googling 'Safari cookie settings' or 'Safari cache settings'.  You want to have cookies enabled for Whatbird websites.  If there's a list of sites with blocked cookies, see if we're on it and remove us.

I did google it, and did what it said. I never had cookies blocked, apparently.

What's that at the bottom that says "Clear History and Website Data"?  Does it offer any options?  If it doesn't, allowing it to run may affect how Safari interacts with other web sites besides Whatbird.

When I click it, it gives me this. Should I do it?
