smittyone@cox.net
Seen this morning in NW Missouri. Is this an Eastern or a Western Meadowlark?

Kevin
I would guess Eastern Meadowlark.
Tony Leukering
The cheeks are awfully dark for an Eastern, but I suggest the slash entry given that few of the useful ID characters are easily assessed with these views.

Bumping is an assertive action, a demonstration of your confidence in the membership and our abilities to ID anything feathered based on only the slightest evidence. All caps, or exclamation points, bold, underlined, colored fonts, any or all of them. You're going to get attention for the U/I bird no matter what it takes, regardless of what others may think. Own it. Be the bump. Edited September 3, 2020 by Charlie Spencer
smittyone@cox.net
I do have side profile (in flight) pics if they would be useful? I didn't include them in the original post because they're blurry. As far as the bump, the post had gone unanswered about 12 hours, so I assumed it would go back up to the top of the list for attention. Sorry if I was breaking any rules or etiquette.

Sorry if I was breaking any rules or etiquette. No violations, I was just being silly again. You'll learn to ignore me! Fantastic flight shots, by the way.
smittyone@cox.net
Do the blurry flight images help any? Or are we sticking with generic Meadowlark?
Benjamin
With the new photos in mind I like Eastern.
