Shorbirds? Terns?

Recommended Posts

My apogees for the horrible photos, the sun had disappeared below the horizon, so it was pretty dark out.

A flock of about 25 birds flew over September 10 last week Nueces County TX. They flew in from the ocean went down the beach a little ways and flew back out across the ocean.  They didn't fly strait out in the ocean, but were flying at an angle, steadily moving away from shore though.

I don't expect an id, but I am hoping some one can get me to the correct family.

Here is a video.

Thanks!
