Louie
Hi from Davenport WA again. This bird reminds me of a Townsend's Solitaire but I'm not confident with my assessment. It has a white eyering, and yellow patch on throat which I'm not seeing on other pictures of a Townsend's Solitaire. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I was way off on this one. I'm trying to get better at this. What led you to the id?
Aaron
Mmm I just see them all the time, but I guess it has the yellow throat and general warbler ‘figure’. The ones migrating through have this grey streaky look to them, which is not as impressive as how they look in the spring! I believe no other warbler has the streaky grey in combination with a yellow throat. It also has the black tail tips with white in the middle. In flight you’d probably see it’s yellow rump and white on its tail feathers as it flew. They also make lots of ‘whit’ noises as the forage around. Townsends solitaires are much larger, about the size of a Robin and I don’t think they’d be foraging around so close the the ground. They are also completely grey. Except for young ones who look speckled.
Tony Leukering
It has streaks on the side, something that no TOSO, in fact, no thrush sports.
lonesome55dove
Hello, fellow Washingtonian. I live in Klickitat County, Yellow-rumped Warblers are all over down here right now. Townsend's Solitaires are all gray with no streaking, has a long tail with a white outer edge, and buffy/tan patches on their wings. And, as Aaron mentioned, the young ones look speckled. ?

This is a good reminder that I need to focus more on behaviors, and you're right, I have a lot easier time with identification in the Spring!
