Apparently it liked the rocky shoreline of the man-made lake I was birding.

BTW that was a patch first so very happy about it.

Thanks. Unfortunately that trip to Collins Lake, the birding hotspot I mentioned in Whatbird's Young Birders, hasn't materialized yet, but when it does, hopefully I'll see some Spotteds, though it's unlikely. (The last one spotted there was in May 2020!). At least, maybe I'll see some Killdeer.

Are those rare in Kansas? They’re one of the more common thrush sp here.
