Nice! I'd trade ya some more sp for that Mocker ?

Why? Are they rarer in Michigan this time of year? Northern Mockingbirds have expanded north pretty fast in the past century- they used to only breed north to Delaware. This one has been around the same spot for a couple of days now, and there was another reported at a different location in the county during the Christmas Bird Count.

Overall in Michigan they're quite rare in the winter months and it's hard to find a reliable location for them. However my county is largely devoid of them all year round, counties to the south have a few breeding pairs though. There were three sightings in my county this year, but none of them stuck around to my knowledge. I'm sure they're here though, hopefully I can find some next spring.

Good luck! This is why I should pay more attention to range maps...

Lifer Common Raven at a hotspot in the county I'd never been to before. Trail was pretty bad though. Wildest place you can get to in the county- Especially after the recent snow, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was much farther north. Big difference between the eastern half (where I am, and pretty suburban thanks to nearby Albany) and western half of the county (more country).

Not a lot of species because of the cold though.
