chipperatl
Two checklists, but both related. Â I spotted the earliest record of Eastern Towhee for my County today (right in middle of this snow storm). Â Reviewer questioned the first sighting, then I replied the bird came back and got pics. Â My lab "flushed" it out of a small cedar tree where it was hiding from a SSHA that my other dog ended up spooking away from its perch, eyeballing the feeders. Very interesting...I guess no doubt that it’s an escapee now. Ah well. That is, unless someone is banding wild Smew in Europe... Looks like it was officially rejected by the MBRC.

Lately, I usually only do one at sunrise for about 30-40 minutes and sometimes (about once a week) I’ll do 2 if I go somewhere else later in the day, or if I decide to bird the location next to my daily one in the same outing. In the Spring/Summer I’ll average about 2, and sometimes get up to 4 depending. Though it’s still usually one at sunrise, about 1-2 hours, and then another if I notice anything while outside/looking out the window. Just curious what everyone else is doing, as it seems like quite a few people have multiple checklists to choose from on given day. I’m sure location/climate plays a big factor. I count my consistent eBirding from Nov 1, 2013.  That is about 3000 days and I am at ~6200 checklists.  So right around 2 a day.  During winter or weekends, when I drive around, I can get anywhere from 12-15 checklists in.  During work week, 1 a day is pretty much the norm.

Dang, because of the leg band and proximity of the Minnesota duck dealers or something? I already had it as Duck sp on my ebird list, but I was wondering when I was going to hear something official.

They listed the accepted records and rejected records through I think April of last year.

AMAZING shots in there man! The hummingbird is incredible but I like the Gallinule shot as well. Nothing beats evening golden lighting. 1

The issue was, they were on the other side of the lake.
