Curious - After the Turkey Vulture entry, why is there this entry - (Northern)?

There are mutable subspecies of Turkey Vultures, northern being one of them.

I believe eBird recognizes three (Northern, Tropical, and South Temperate), but depending on who you ask, some say as many as 6.

That’s probably because eBird groups some subspecies that aren’t grouped by the ABA

With a friend of mine, I went up to a small oasis north of town called Corn Creek, which I might visit weekly through May. Lots of interesting birds stop there during migration. Quite a few Lucy's Warblers and Blue-gray Gnatcatchers have shown up, plus an FOY Bank Swallow and Gray Flycatcher.

Anybody else trying for the April eBirder of the month challenge?

I've got 12 checklists from home already. 😀
