PalmWarbler
Was at Cape Cod this morning, went on a pelagic and got three lifers—Cory’s Shearwater, Great Shearwater, and Sooty Shearwater. Also fished for the first time! https://ebird.org/checklist/S115210784
dragon49
Normal day at this hotspot. I was hoping to get pretty pics of the Royal Terns and wasn't disappointed. I'm getting to know the individual birds, as I saw these two Domestic Mallards on two other trips there. https://ebird.org/checklist/S115264960

dragon49
Great day: I get to report the Swallow-tailed Kites to the Avian Research Institute, who wants signings from 07/15 - 08/15 but, unfortunately, I didn't get any pics worthy of sharing. https://ebird.org/checklist/S115427932

dragon49
Great day to be outside. See the checklist notes for details. Can somebody please take a look at my Loggerhead Shrike pics and let me know whether these are two different birds? I saw the bird or birds in the same approximate location, once on the trip out, and once on the trip back. I only reported one, as I can't tell for certain, but one bird does look smaller to me, however, it could be 100% due to the compressed pose. One bird appears to have more of an orange underbelly than the other, but this could be due to the lighting.  https://ebird.org/checklist/S115616291
dragon49
Good day as always. Normal sightings for the hotspot: https://ebird.org/checklist/S115682404
dragon49
Really odd not to encounter any Boat-tailed Grackles here, but otherwise a normal day: https://ebird.org/checklist/S115732786
Birding Boy
From yesterday. Seven shorebird species is pretty great for my poor, shorebird habitat deprived county. https://ebird.org/checklist/S115694398
dragon49
Very good day. I don't see too many cattle Egrets here, and haven't seen any Double-crested Cormorants anywhere other than Green Cay and Wakodahatchee Wetlands in a long time: https://ebird.org/checklist/S115790268
dragon49
Not a lot of species, but a great day nonetheless. Great to see two non-vulture raptors in one trip.  https://ebird.org/checklist/S115851630 Edited July 27, 2022 by dragon49

dragon49
This was my best birding trip ever! I had taken the 13-mile walk into the next county last year, before I was a birder. I couldn't wait to for the weather to cool down before taking the same hike, so I packed plenty of water, electrolyte powder, and a portable phone charger, among other things. I got two lifers, Greater Yellowlegs and White-eyed Vireo. It's a good thing I brought 4 extra camera batteries, as I depleted 3 taking pictures of birds and scenery. See the checklist notes for more details. https://ebird.org/checklist/S116044463 Edited July 31, 2022 by dragon49

dragon49
Mostly normal day at the hotspot, but as I put in my checklist notes, it's very, very odd for no Red-winged Blackbirds to be there. I don't remember going there and not seeing or hearing that species at all.  https://ebird.org/checklist/S116100418

dragon49
Good day in the neighborhood. I finally got some decent pictures of Monk Parakeets. I wish the Nanday Parakeets would stop and perch, instead of teasing me with their high-pitched shrieks like they often do, as I find them prettier than the lower-registerer shrieking Monk Parakeets. https://ebird.org/checklist/S116267356 Edited August 3, 2022 by dragon49
