Birds are cool
I know I already posted a checklist today, but look at the counts! The Pine Warblers were a high count by 75! https://ebird.org/checklist/S125728935
Zoroark
Three stops today with some notable sightings (all FOY). I met my father for the Clark County Wetlands Park stops. Bohemian Waxwing American Bittern Ladder-backed Woodpecker Mountain Bluebird Hybrid Northern Flicker (red × yellow) Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay Great Horned Owl https://ebird.org/tripreport/100372 (I still have to look through everyone's checklists since the 2nd!) Zoroark
Another birding day with my father, and plenty more birds. dragon49
Not a lot of species, but it felt good to get out. I hadn't given a proper neighborhood survey in quite some time: https://ebird.org/checklist/S125852603

Aidan B
The atmospheric river that has been hitting California recently brought a whole ton of Red Phalaropes into the bay area today, so I rushed out to Sherman Island, which is the southwest corner of Sacramento County (the closest part of Sacramento County to the Ocean) with the hope of possibly running into the first Red Phalaropes in the county in recent years. Rain dumped on me most of the day, but it was a lot of fun birding the delta, with lots of good birds for the county. https://ebird.org/tripreport/100757 Edited January 11 by Aidan B

Zoroark
Another day out with my father, this time to the Red Rock Canyon area, and we couldn't walk without tripping over scrub-jays, sparrows, and titmice. The Red-breasted Sapsucker was the highlight of the day. https://ebird.org/checklist/S125964766 https://ebird.org/checklist/S125964964 https://ebird.org/checklist/S125965205
Tanager 101
https://ebird.org/checklist/S125952338 Probably my favorite from today. Attempted to relocate an Iceland Gull that would be a location first at Bay City State Park.
Birds are cool
Insane number of birds! Biggest list for this location, and third largest for Lauren's county for me. I also got some great photos. https://ebird.org/checklist/S125991777

dragon49
Main Checklist - https://ebird.org/checklist/S126015014 I stuck around the area a little longer looking for a Cedar waxwing lifer that every other birder in the county seems to be finding, but the bird still eludes me - https://ebird.org/checklist/S126016497

There's a resident one near Corn Creek, and it seems every local birder has seen it but me.
