As long as you can get the audio to meet eBird's requirements! You'd probably have to extract the audio from the video that you take, unless your camera can do just audio?

Audio

  • WAV (preferred), MP3, or M4A
  • Maximum file size: 250 MB
  • At least 44.1 kHz, at least 16 bits

My camera can do video too.

I record using my phone and just followed the tips here: https://support.ebird.org/en/support/solutions/articles/48001064305-smartphone-recording-tips  on what app to use and the settings to put it to.
Using voice record pro at the moment. I don’t edit the recordings except for trimming and maybe volume boost, though I’ll probably try to get more into that this year. Seems complicated

For my camera, I uploaded the video to my phone, downloaded an mp3 converter app and then saved it from there. Which is probably more complicated than it needs to be.

Not this. Your chickadee is in top photos. BTW, how does one do a screenshot on an iPad or smartphone?

Ohhh...I didn’t scroll far enough ?

I just press the home and power button at the same time to take a screenshot on my iPhone. I don’t know about iPads though.

Thanks.
P.S. I know your real name. I wouldn’t mistake it for anyone else’s.

Yeah, I know, I just didn’t realize that it had gotten up there and didn’t see anything else that coresponded to me. I guess people found and rated it somehow lol.
