harpoon659 3
Seeking help with some songbirds, most of which I see only infrequently, at least in these forms. All seen at Riverbend Park in northern Virginia on 23 September. #1 & 2: confirm Ovenbird? #3 & 4: confirm immature Indigo Bunting? #5: Confirm immature Summer Tanager? #6: Confirm Chipping Sparrow? #7: Confirm Common Yellowthroat? #8: Just an American Goldfinch? #9: Cape May Warbler? #10-11: warbler? #12: Just an American Goldfinch? #13: Tennessee Warbler? Aaron 834
I shall take a try... 1&2— Looks a little too spotty for Ovenbird. They usually have streaky spots instead of round ones. I’m thinking some type of Thrush... Maybe Wood Thrush? 3–4-Pretty sure Indigo is correct 5— I think the black on the wings make it a Scarlet Tanager, though unsure 6-Pass 7-Pass, though the eye ring looks too thick for Yellowthroat. Immediate thought was Nashville Warbler, but I definitely have no clue 😂 8–Looks like another bunting 9-Pass 10-11-12— Again look like more buntings 13– Pass Definitely wait for more responses! I couldn’t sleep so thought I’d give it a go Edited September 24, 2020 by Aaron
Colton V 813
I think #6 is indeed Chipping judging by the thick black eyeline/lores.

Other than 7 is a Common Yellowthroat I agree with the above.

The Bird Nuts 5,171
My impression of #8 was House Sparrow. Please limit threads to five birds each to avoid confusion. Unless you want me to go insane.... 🙂
akandula 2,805
Here's my take: 1-2. Wood Thrush 3-4. Indigo Bunting 5. Scarlet Tanager 6. Chipping Sparrow 7. Nashville Warbler 8. Indigo Bunting 9. Cape May Warbler 10-12. Indigo Bunting 13. Probably unidentifiable.

I agree, though Cape May would be a reasonable option, given the gray back and apparent tail spots, although the tail might be too long.
